As Public Relations (PR) professionals, it is essential for us to constantly evolve and elevate our strategies to stay ahead in today's dynamic landscape. As a PR agency based in Jakarta, Praxis does not only rely on traditional methods; we are pushing boundaries and embracing innovative approaches to ensure our clients' voices are heard clearly.

To achieve this, we start by delving deep into the market, analyzing news coverage, leveraging analytics tools, monitoring social media trends, and conducting thorough market research. By understanding the public and gaining insights into their opinions and perceptions, we are able to tailor our strategies and tactics to resonate with our clients' target audience effectively.

But why is market understanding crucial for PR success? Simply put, it is the foundation upon which impactful communication strategies are built. By identifying key trends, opportunities, and topics that matter to the public, we can craft compelling narratives and campaigns that capture attention and drive engagement.

On the other hand, neglecting market understanding can have dire consequences. Without a finger on the pulse of the market, it is challenging to develop strategies that resonate with the target audience, leading to wasted resources and missed opportunities for our clients. Moreover, failing to anticipate market trends or respond swiftly to changes can result in reputational damage and setbacks for our clients.

Building on this foundation, our journey began with providing research data to aid our clients in refining their communication strategies. Then, we recognized a larger potential—our insights could empower not just our clients, but the broader community as well. And so, #PraxiSurvey was born, a platform where we share our profound discoveries.

Using #PraxiSurvey, we conducted studies on public perceptions towards various issues, from public services to elections. In March 2023, we initiated our first-ever #PraxiSurvey which was specifically designed to gauge public sentiment on the quality of public services, leadership, and prevalent media habits. Our ultimate objective is to utilize these insights to promote a healthier democratic ecosystem. To achieve maximum transparency, we held a press conference to reveal these findings to the media. In addition, we invited expert panelists to provide their valuable commentaries and interpretations of the results.

In August 2023, we carried out our second #PraxiSurvey, exploring public perspectives on elections and their influence on economic expansion. We teamed up with Narasi TV this time to host a press conference, which was moderated by Zen RS, their Director of Content & Editor in Chief. We were also honored to have Maynard Arif, Equities Specialist DBS Group Research, join us. His invaluable insights and participation not only enhanced our event but also promoted our client, Bank DBS Indonesia, offering them a platform to demonstrate their thought leadership.

Most recently, in January 2024, we launched the third #PraxiSurvey, centered on the political aspirations and preferences of students during the 2024 elections. Recognizing the pivotal role of young voters, we utilized a mixed-methods approach, merging quantitative research by Praxis with qualitative insights from Election Corner (EC). To add depth, Content Creator and Founder of the Malaka Project, Ferry Irwandi, provided political commentaries on millennials and Gen Z. Journalists highly praised the survey, finding it especially relevant due to its timing with the recent elections (Pemilu 2024).

From this, we learn that as PR professionals, it is crucial that we constantly adapt and evolve our methods to fit the fast-paced and ever-changing landscape of today's market. At Praxis, we are using innovative approaches and staying on top of market trends to ensure our clients' messages are clear, compelling, and effective.

Underpinning our success is our deep understanding of the market. From monitoring social media trends to conducting thorough market research, we strive to garner insights into public opinion and perception. We use these insights to tailor our strategies, creating campaigns that resonate with the target audience and drive engagement.

We have seen the power of market insights firsthand through our #PraxiSurvey initiative, which has enabled us to gauge public sentiment on a variety of topics and promote a healthier democratic ecosystem. And we do not plan on stopping there. As we move forward, we will continue to deepen our market research efforts. We welcome your input and encourage you to share any topics you would like us to explore in our future research.

At Praxis, we are not just talking the talk; we are walking the walk. We are committed to pushing the boundaries of traditional PR strategies and leveraging market insights to elevate our clients' success. Join us as we take PR to the next level!
